At my core, I will always identify with the philosophy of the Software Gardener, methodically tending to the health, structure, and organic growth of complex systems. Yet, as the technological landscape shifts, so too does my craft. Today, I feel more like a code sorcerer (code-gûl)—a wr·AI·thmancer of the digital era, raising swarms of non-sentient, "cursed" AI agents and commanding them to do my bidding across labyrinthine code-bases and the sprawling grids of interconnected systems.
Professional Experience
- Performance Engineer @ Anza: Currently optimizing core infrastructure of Solana building foundation of high-performance capital markets. Deep specialization in Rust and distributed systems architecture.
- Staff Software Engineer & Tech Lead @ Google: Spent over a decade architecting and maintaining web-search infrastructure. My work in information retrieval led to the patent US8700583B1: Dynamic tiermaps for large online databases.
- Founder & Entrepreneur @ Elector: Conceived and developed a wireless electronic voting system utilized by academic councils, local governments, shareholder meetings to facilitate secure, rapid, and mobile decision-making processes.
Education & Academia
- Master of Computer Science: Graduated from the University of Wrocław (2005), an institution renowned for producing world-class algorithmic talent.
- Nemerle Co-creator: Contributed to the design and implementation of Nemerle, pioneering compile-time meta-programming and powerful macro systems for the .NET platform — work which formed the basis of my MSc Thesis: Syntax-extending and type-reflecting macros for object-oriented language.
-
Competitive Programming: I have always enjoyed solving algorithmic puzzles and participating in contests with a focus on novel techniques and programming languages:
- High-school finalist of the Polish Olympiad in Informatics.
- Regular participant of Potyczki Algorytmiczne (notably achieving a 100% score in one of its earlier editions, Pogromcy Algorytmów, using purely OCaml against problem sets designed for C++).
- Regional team competitor in the ACM ICPC.
